Vintage Unmarked 10” Chef Knife Carbon Steel German 1950-60s?

Unmarked but certainly German 10” chef knife with hand forged after drop forged blade with tapered tang. This knife has the typical 50’s-60’s rounded heel – handle transition. Aluminum rivets on the solid wood handle suggest 1960’s but the tapered tang would be the earlier part of 60’s most likely. 

Markings are gone, it has been refurbished and had seen heavy use, while it had seen no serious mistreatment, it was very rusty when found and was a bit thick behind the edge from being sharpened. It has been re-profiled and thinned and is now the proper thickness behind the edge to get back to work and enter its second act.

This blade is not stainless, expect a patina to form with use, it can rust so no dishwasher or soaking. Clean and dry after use. . It is sharp and ready to get back to work.
